Digital time capsule service
The time capsule
We help YOU to send your message to the future.
The Time capsule is easy to use. You can write a letter, record a video, or take a picture and send it to the future. You can choose the date when the capsule will be opened, and that is it.
A time capsule can be a message for your future self. A surprise for someone you love. A snapshot of life as it is today. Whatever you choose to save, give your future self—or someone special—a moment worth opening.
Customizable capsule
There are multiple types of capsules you can choose from. The most common is the one that you seal with a key and set a date. You will only be able to open it on its due date. This is basic, right?
We give you more options than that. You can create an editable capsule, just in case you forgot to add something. You can create a public capsule to share it with the entire world. Last but not least, you can create a "testament" capsule that can be opened by another person (your spouse, for example) only after a trusted person authorises the opening. How cool is that?!
Multiple types of content
The simplest way to send a message to the future is to write something. You can write directly on the capsule page or upload a text file using common extensions like txt, pdf, or doc. Besides text, you can also upload video and audio files.
Long term storage
Your digital time capsule is stored on specialized long-term cloud storage designed to store data for long periods (20+ years). Additionally, we designed a solid system to back up all the data on physical drives for redundancy and for our own peace of mind that your data is safe.
Convenient
The time capsule is easy to use and accessible from any device. You can just create your capsule and forget about it (only until its due date, preferably). When the time comes, we will do our best to reach you.
Fast and secure payment
It's fast and easy to pay for your capsule, using your favorite card. All payments are safely processed by Stripe.
Cost-effective
The time capsule is designed to be affordable. It is much cheaper, safer, and more convenient to create a capsule than to manage the tedious process of preserving your message for a long time. You can have your own time capsule for as little as $4.
Full encryption
Privacy is paramount
The content of your time capsule is fully encrypted, and once the capsule is "sealed", the only one able to open the capsule is the person who holds the key.
